About Me

Hi, I’m Julia and I live with my husband in East Devon.

I’ve been making silver jewellery from my workshop at home for a few years now. I started making jewellery because I was looking for a particular piece/style of jewellery that I couldn’t find. I only make jewellery that I like and that I would wear myself and I love anything that sparkles! I make a small number of items, some of which are one-offs so I only have available the items that are shown on this website.

I have my own Hallmark and I’m registered at The Goldsmith’s Company Assay Office in London.

I grew up in Cornwall, the Cornish and Devonshire coastline is very special to me. I enjoy spending time in my garden and whilst gardening I love to see the many species of birds that visit along with the hedgehogs that visit at night, they all get fed. We also have a couple of cats, Thomas who is a very handsome grey and white boy, and his girlfriend who is a stray tortoiseshell that we have named Tinkerbell! I also enjoy walking on the beach and in the countryside, especially in the Scilly Isles, there are so many textures that you find outside everyday in nature. This inspires me to give my jewellery texture so that it catches the light and sparkles.

Recycling is an important part of today’s world so I’ve been recycling some glass and wooden beads, and I’ve made some pretty pieces so do take a look at my beaded necklaces.

I use various processes to create texture and pattern on my jewellery, some of it has a battered pattern and some of it uses a reticulation process. I like to wear statement pieces which look stunning on a plain top or dress, hence some of my larger reticulated pendant designs and long chain necklaces.

I hope you enjoy looking at my website and I hope you like my designs!

Best wishes,

Julia
